roadmap
Typical timeline: 4-5 weeks
-
We'll start your project with an initial consultation. During this 90-minute meeting, we'll walk through a client questionnaire and brand personality assessment.
Note: We strongly recommend that anyone who will have a final say in outcomes be present from start to finish during this project as it is difficult for individuals to step in mid-project. Additionally, our team is happy to present findings and outcomes to boards, executives, etc. at the end of the project.
-
We'll review part one of your strategic plan at our first check-in meeting.
-
From that meeting, we will share applicable action items within your client portal.
Once our team has received all action items and feedback, we'll work through revisions and build out the final components of your strategy.
-
During this meeting, we will review the final components of your strategy, and discuss the team involved to bring everything to life.
-
From there, we'll have a clear game plan to execute your developed strategy.

roadmap
Typical timeline: 4-6 weeks
-
We'll start this project by completing a brief project questionnaire. We'll use your team's responses alongside your brand strategy to guide this entire project.
-
Then, our team will develop the draft outline (i.e. pages and navigation) and will design your website wireframes, which are PDF mockups of your core web pages.
Filler text and stock photos will be utilized at this stage so that the core focus can be on the website flow and core design for the site.
-
Once the outline and wireframes have been approved and any applicable client action items have been completed, our team will dive into the initial design of your site.
During this process, our team will also provide copywriting support by drafting initial copy throughout the site.
-
Once the initial design is complete, you'll receive an email through your client portal with access to your staging site and a clear list of all action items for your team.
During this stage, your primary focus should be on imagery, copy, and site functionality.
-
Once all client action items have been completed, our team will complete your first round of revisions.
-
With first revisions complete, we will share your staging site with your team for a final review.
During this stage, your primary focus will be to review site edits and to complete final proofing of the website.
-
Once we have received all applicable action items from your team, we will complete final revisions.
From there, we will discuss a launch plan, including domain management, timeline, and initial SEO.

implementation
Typical timeline: 1-2 weeks for development
-
Once you've completed your strategic plan and we've determined the appropriate ongoing scope of work to accomplish your goals, we will hold a launch meeting.
During this time together, we'll build out your editorial calendar, and work through all logistics to set our teams up for success.
We ask that you respond in a timely manner to all communications from our team leading up to and after this meeting.
-
After we have received all necessary items from your team, we will complete the predetermined development task list, as outlined in your contract.
This phase typically takes one week.
-
Once development is done, our team will execute your ongoing scope of work.
The client portal will be your main hub for all communications, files, and documentation.
faqs
How do I see the status of my project?
Your client portal will always have the most up-to-date information for your project. You’ll find your project file in the client portal under “files.” In this section, you’ll see project status, deliverables, and client action items.
When can I expect the final product for the strategy?
Our strategic planning projects typically take 3-4 weeks dependent on your team’s availability.
At the end of the project, we’ll share all final deliverables in your client portal for you to access.
How long does the website design project typically take?
Our team’s active time for websites typically lasts about 3-5 weeks, depending on project size. You can expedite the process by completing your action items in a timely manner.
What if I can’t prioritize action items mid-project?
If we haven’t heard from you within 3 weeks after requesting information or action from your team, your project will be removed from our active project queue.
At that point, it is your responsibility to get all requested information to our team and to pay a project delay fee, if applicable as outlined in your project contract. Once these things have been completed, we will let you know when we can reactivate your project.
How many revisions do we get?
Your project includes initial development and up to two revisions of each deliverable.
Additional revisions may be requested, and our team will track time.
What is included in “copywriting support” with website projects?
Our team is proud to provide copywriting support on all website projects. This includes providing an initial draft of copy throughout the site. Once that is done, it is your responsibility to provide feedback and edits on all copy.
Does the strategy include ongoing support?
No, the strategy phase is just that: building your foundation so that you have a clear direction on how to grow your business.
Toward the end of your project, we will work together to identify what needs to happen to bring the strategy to life, and will map out a team to support that.
